Als je filethaakwerk of Iers haakwerk maakt dan heb je specifieke haakkatoen nodig zoals die van DMC of Cebelia. Bij andere patronen speelt het geen rol.
Ik gebruik voor het haken liefst katoen (ben een grote fan van Catania).
Uitzondering : mijn plaids, daar gebruik ik acryl voor. Enkele oud-leden hebben mij gewaarschuwd dat plaids gehaakt van katoen loodzwaar wegen. En inderdaad ik heb ooit een sprei in filethaakwerk (dus met vele gaatjes ! ) gehaakt met katoen en die weegt behoorlijk zwaar.

crochet = haken; dus volgens mij gewoon garen om mee te haken.
Ikzelf kies meestal voor katoen, dat vind ik het lekkerste werken.

Hallo dames,
Ik heb een patroon en hierin staat vermeld dat er crochetgaren voor gebruikt wordt. Kan iemand mij vertellen waar ik dit kan krijgen of is er een ander alternatief voor?
