March Freebie - The Butterfly  
The butterfly is a symbol of transformation or change, love and joy.
I chose the butterfly for this month's freebie due to the transformation that Japan is now undergoing - the love which is being shown to a country by millions of people worldwide and although currently the country is in crisis, this too shall pass and joy will once again replace sorrow.  
The colors were chosen to represent the Cherry Blossom Tree - sakura - which in the United States, will be honored from March 26 - April 10, 2011 as the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC; a tradition that showcases the beautiful gift of 3,000 cherry trees that the city of Tokyo gave to our nation�s capital.
