Head (beginning at base of neck): 
Using US4 dpns and white yarn, CO24 and join 
K24 
(K3, m1) 8 times  Continue in this manner (one plain round, one increase round) until you have 40 sts  K 2 rounds even 
(K5, m1) 8 times  Continue in this manner (two plain rounds, one increase round) until you have 64  sts 
K 8 rounds even 
(K6, k2tog) 8 times 
K 2 rounds even 
Continue in this manner until you have 32 sts  
Split for ears: 
K8, CO 4, place next 16 sts on waste yarn, K8, join – 20 sts 
K 16 rounds even 
(K3, k2tog) 4 times 
(K2, k2tog) 4 times 
(K1, k2tog) 4 times 
(K2tog) 4 times 
Break yarn and thread through remaining stitches. Fasten off. 

Place 16 sts on waste yarn onto dpns  K16, pick up 4 sts from cast‐on edge of other ear  Knit to match other ear  The head is now complete. Attach safety eyes and stuff firmly.    

Nose  Using a small length of black yarn and tapestry needle, stitch an X onto face and pull  ends through back of head. Snip off ends 
 
Body  Starting at base of neck, at a point on the same side as the left ear, pick up 24sts  around base of neck and join 
(K3, m1) 8 times 
K 1 round even 
Continue in this manner until you have 72 sts on your needles 
K 4 rounds even 
(K7, k2tog) 8 times 
Continue in this manner until you have 48 sts on your needles 
Split for legs: 
K10, CO 4, place next 28 sts on waste yarn, k10, join – 24 sts 
K 12 rounds even 
(K2, k2tog) 6 times 
(K1, k2tog) 6 times 
Break yarn and thread through remaining stitches. Fasten off.  You might want to start stuffing the body and the left leg before starting the right  leg.  Leave the next 4 sts on waste yarn, put next 20 on dpns, CO 4, and leave the last 4 on  another piece of waste yarn, and join – 24 sts 
Knit to match other leg 
Finish stuffing legs and body 
Knit the crotch: 
Put first 4 sts currently on waste yarn onto needle and 6 rows flat  Put last 4 sts currently on waste yarn onto another needle and graft together  Seam together edges with the cast on edges of the legs 
The body is now complete! 
 
Arms (make 2) 
CO 12, join 
K12 
(K4, m1) 3 times 
Continue in this manner until you have 18 sts 
K 13 rounds even 
(K4, k2tog) 3 times 
(K3, k2tog) 3 times 
Break yarn and thread through remaining stitches. Fasten off.  Stuff each arm and sew onto body, about 5 rows down from neck 

 
Dress 
Using blue yarn and US5 straights, CO 24 sts  Knitting flat, from the neck down, follow the same increases for the body  When you have 40 sts on the needle, set up the sleeves:  K7, knit next 6 sts onto waste yarn, then transfer those 6 sts back to the left needle,  K across those 6 sts, K14, knit next 6 sts onto waste yarn, then transfer those 6 sts  back to left needle, K across those 6 sts, K7  Continue increase rows until you have 64 sts on the needles

(K16, m1) 4 times 
K 6 rows even 
(K17, m1) 4 times 
K 6 rows even 
K 3 rows in garter st 
Bind off 
 
Sleeves  Place the 6 sts above and below the waste yarn onto dpns and pick up 2 sts in each  gap and join 
K 12 rounds even 
P 1 round 
Bind off 
Repeat for second sleeve 
 
Put dress on doll with opening in the back and seam using mattress stitch.
